I LOVE that Kepnes kept the character true. I loved the audiobook- the voice was perfect, the character came to life all over again in true form and I listened every second I could to see what would happen next. I was wondering how Kepnes was going to get Joe out of jail from the end of the last book, but she worked it out. He's an animal lover, he's good with children, and he's got great taste in clothes and books. Ripley' fashion, albeit Joe has more redeeming characters than Tom Ripley ever did. Kepnes created Joe years ago in a sort of 'The Talented Mr. And hopefully, with his encouragement and undying support, Mary Kay will do the right thing and make room for him. Don’t miss the latest thriller in Caroline Kepnes’s compulsively readable You series, with an all-new plot not seen in the blockbuster Netflix show. And Peach was Caucasian in the book and they selected a Canadian-Filipino actress for the series. I also really liked how the series added diversity to the supporting characters in the book, Joe’s 2nd love interest in the book was Italian-American and in the series the role was cast as African-American. I liked how Joe was protective of Paco, it showed a softer side to the Joe’s obsessed stalker persona. The addition of the Paco, the young boy neighbor melted my heart instantly. the series was FANTASTIC!!! The casting for Joe was perfect zero disappointment there! Actor Penn Badgley was equal parts sincere and disturbed. I just finished binge watching, You on Netflix.
